Upcoming Shoots : March 2010

Just Popping in to let you all know that I have 2 shoots booked for the upcoming week...


A Senior Session for my Sister and next week a Session for my Friend, Jessica's girls :) Hannah is six and Sydney is two! It should be a ton of fun and I am excited about the location. I plan on shooting at the Fort St Clair Park in Eaton Ohio. there are bridges, cabins, sweeping roads and lots of little spots. Even a playground.

If the park location doesn't work out for my sister and, I would like to aim for Glennmiller Park in Richmond Indiana. It has a few great spots!

New Beginnings

As Spring quickly approaches I have finally decided to seriously delve into creating my portfolio. This photo blog will document my journey to that goal and hopefully mark my improvements over three seasons.

In an effort to keep this an enjoyable journey, one conducive to my more important roles and wife and mother I will only be taking on 2-3 sessions a month from March 2010 through October 2010 ( depending on the weather I may take some on during November as well ). I would like to shoot a range of concepts, newborns, families, couples, seniors, and anything else that pops up along the way. This is a learning experience, a time to spread my wings in photography and to nail down a personal style. This isn't about going professional, starting a business or getting a ton of notoriety. I just want to improve.

As far as the session goes, I would like to do on location shoots, Natural Light and Post Processing with soft tones and subtle textures. I want to reflect an emotive, natural and non-studio feel in my photos. I want everyone in the photos to feel comfortable and the photos I take to reflect that.
